Meet the speaker
Imam Is’Haaq Jasat is the founder of the National Huffadh Association UK. He became a hafidh at age 11 and continued his Qur’an studies in Egypt, Morocco, and Jordan. In 2012, he represented the UK in an international Qur’an competition held in Jordan.
A qualified solicitor with a law degree from the University of East London and a Legal Practice Course from Leeds Metropolitan University, he also holds Qualified Teacher Status from the University of East London. Imam Is’Haaq is currently the Head of Religious Education and Deputy Faith Lead at Eden Girls Waltham Forest in East London.
His deep passion for the Qur’an drives him to organising Qira’ah events in London and to judge Qur’an competitions across the UK. He recently established Qur’an Movement UK, which is an online platform aimed to involve youngsters and spread the love of the Qur’an.
